Confessions of a Bibliophile

❤ Bibliophile ❤ Book-nerd ❤ Book-worm ❤ Book-lover ❤

Books enamour me and all the terms above have, at some point, been used to describe me. I love to read. I can read anywhere and I almost always carry a book along with me wherever I go. One could go as far as calling it an addiction but I would much rather we referred to it as a passion.

Reading is the perfect mechanism to keeping unsolicited and dreadfully awkward conversations at bay. Unless you were a fellow book enthusiast and wanted to have a spirited debate about character hermatias and plot twists , you wouldn’t bother me and I’d much rather it stayed that way.

With all the various commitments I now have, reading (novels for enjoyment) should be a fanciful wish. Long gone are the days when I could slot in a novel before home work. My study schedule does not allow it (it also doesn’t allow things like fun and living) and neither does my sleeping schedule but I read anyway. Somehow , somewhere and in some way , I find the time to read.

I want several rooms like this in my house one day :)
I want several rooms like this in my house one day 🙂

I read mostly when I am in transit ( to and from campus etc.) but I reserve an hour on Sundays to relax with a good book in hand :).

I try my utmost best to avoid reading during the day between lectures because it distracts me but every once in a while I stumble upon an unputdownable book and it temporarily confuses my schedule but it leaves me with all sorts of happy feels 🙂

In honour of World Book Day (why do we not have a book year ?) , I thought I would share my rather ambitious 2015 Reading List list. I am using Pop Sugar’s Reading Challenge template to plan my reading this year.

I’ve also added some book recommendations and books from my extensive TBR list that I hope to have the time to dive into <3.My goal is to read at least 50 books this year ( 10 down , forty left )!

I am that friend that is always giving book recommendations . I try my best to not be as forceful as Hermione but people need to experience these emotions !

I loves books so much ( evidently so)! Mostly because they encapsulate so much of what I feel and need to say and what some people need to read.

They transport me from my ordinary daily setting and place me in the middle of unknown and previously uncharted territory.

They force me to broaden my mind and to use my imagination to picture scenarios and scenes.

I have discovered a world of words and phrases so resplendent that even the most mundane of feelings can be described with impeccable minutia and peculiarity.

Do your self a favour and pick up a good book ( or books if you’re slightly ambitious like me) this year. You will find yourself without any regret 🙂

Lots Of Lily Love ❤ (LOLL)
